Apparently flower crowns have had their 15 minutes of fame, and should be retired.Wedding trends out for 2017

Vogue.com has compiled their list of the most overused wedding trends from the world’s top seven wedding planners, including Colin Cowie and Mindy Weiss.  Ranging from food trucks, to rustic decor, the experts voice their opinions on what wedding trend have already died, as well as those that they’d personally like to murder.

A few trends that are ‘out’: Signature drinks, family style dinners, chalkboard signs, and cowboy boots.  What’s now in: Small wedding parties, plated dinners, and creating a wedding day that is uniquely ‘you’ (not what Pinterest tells you it should be).

Since these top wedding professionals have seen a lot of wedding trends come and go, they know their stuff.  Typically, your wedding should reflect you and your life, and also stand the test of time.  Trends are the things you’ll look back on and cringe. Take heed if you are planning a 2017 wedding with flower crowns and food trucks… you might want to rethink it.

Don’t get a naked cake and chalkboard signs just because you saw them on Pinterest.
