Need a Detroit Photo Session Location? Check out the Fisher Building

I died and went to Art Deco heaven when I first stepped inside of the Fisher Building in Detroit this past weekend. This building is like a time capsule from 1928 that was left largely untouched (thank God!).

Looking for an Engagement or Wedding photo session location in Detroit with a vintage feel?  This might be your place.  There are 29 floors of marble, priceless hand-painted ceilings, and the most beautiful Art Deco chandeliers.

That’s a pretty wicked hallway.

The husband and I went on free a tour from PureDetroit on Saturday (check their website and instagram for tour times and dates).  It was a first-time visit for both of us, and I have a lot a photos to share with you…

I wish I knew about this location before I got my engagement photos… things may have turned out differently.  There was a wedding party taking photos when we toured, and I’ve searched the web and have been unable to find information suggesting that there is a fee to get photos taken there.  A quick google search also showed me that several couples have taken photos there for weddings and engagements.

If you ever get the opportunity, stop in to look around.
